Crystal Coast Christmas Flotilla

The Crystal Coast Christmas Flotilla features boats, yachts, oars, kayaks and commercial vessels decorated for the season. The decorated boats can be seen at 5:30 p.m. on the Morehead City waterfront and at 6:15 p.m. on the Beaufort waterfront. Boats may register to participate in the Flotilla by phone or mail, and until noon on Saturday, December 1, at the North Carolina Maritime Museum Store. All decorated boats are judged and prizes for excellence and creativity are awarded at the Awards Party after the Flotilla in the Harvey W. Smith Watercraft Center located across the street from the museum. Cash prizes will be awarded! Entry fee to participate. 252.728.7317. Beaufort Wine and Food – Oyster Roast

Beaufort Wine and Food is celebrating its fifth annual Oyster Roast, taking place at Beau Coast, off Lennoxville Road from 2 – 5 p.m. Saturday, November 3rd.
The gathering celebrates the bounty of Eastern NC cuisine and will feature local steamed oysters, shrimp and other seafood selections along with North Carolina pork and poultry.
Proceeds from the event benefit organizations that serve Carteret County.

Down East Folk Arts Society presents Tom Kimmel in MHC | 7pm – 8:30pm
The Down East Folk Arts Society will once again bring World Class Singer/Songwriters to the Crystal Coast with a 2019 Winter Concert Series beginning in January and running through March. Singer, songwriter, entertainer, poet and teacher, Tom Kimmel is all of these things and more. Since 1980 dozens of Tom’s compositions have been recorded by a host of major artists, including Linda Ronstadt, Johnny Cash, Joe Cocker and Randy Travis. They’ve been featured in films from Twins to Serendipity  and   Runaway Bride, and in television shows from Miami Vice to Touched By An Angel. Once an eclectic artist in his own right, he has released seven solo albums, published a book of poems and led songwriting workshops and classes across the US and in Europe.
